On 1 February 2020, Denmark had a new online platform for the independent buying and selling of used machines.
The name of this new, ultramodern and bespoke marketplace - where buyers and sellers can safely and securely buy and sell used machines - is KAPOW.
The solid foundation for this new trading platform was established by the team behind Logpartner, which has existed since 2016. The first humble thoughts of having their own logistics business were formulated in 2013 when Søren Næsborg and Jakob Nielsen were colleagues at Horsens Maskiner A/S. Already then, they worked with online actions of used machines.
A colleague from the machine industry, the supplier Torben Speedtsberg, turned their thoughts of having their own logistics business into reality. Using the Norwegian platform Retrade as their auction platform, Logpartner was formed in 2016 with the primary focus on quality and the independent facilitation of the sale of used machines.
However, the team behind Logpartner aimed higher – and they wanted to do better for their customers. This is why Logpartner decided to establish its very own and bespoke platform for the buying and selling of used machines. Logpartner became KAPOW – The marketplace for used machines.
Today, the ownership comprises three of the founders of Logpartner, Søren Næsborg, Torben Speedtsberg and Jakob Nielsen, with Niels Thorkilsen as managing director.
